In 1981 in Morumbi in São Paulo

I met the day before the show with the members of the band. (Nel 1981 al Morumbi a San Paolo (brasile) Io mi incontrai il giorno prima dello show con gli altri membri della band.)

Please describe us how you managed to get to the show, and what were your feelings that day and your excitement as Freddie entered the stage. Tell us something about that wonderful day.

At 9 o’clock pm sharp began the show. All right? Freddie showed up and said in Portuguese. It was an unforgettable moment. The highlight of the concert was Love of My Life. 130,000 people sang along with Queen.(I fans Brasiliani lasciarono casa presto per andare allo stadio Morumbi nel pomeriggio. Lo spettacolo iniziava alle 21. Alle 21 precise iniziò lo spettacolo. “Tutto bene? ” Freddie arrivò e disse in portoghese. Fu un momento indimenticabile. Il momento più bello del concerto fu “Love of my Life”,130.000 persone che cantavano insieme ai Queen.

Do you consider Queen still alive as a group today? Or do you think they are no longer a band after that November 1991?

William

Queen died on November 24, 1991. Later came the Queen +, a band formed by Guitarist Brian May and Drummer Roger Taylor + A GUEST VOCALIST. This is not all bad, Queen more helps preserve the memory of the original Queen and presents their music to a new generation. I prefer Adam to Paul Rodgers. Nothing beats Freddie. I’d say Queen + is a Cover Band with a pedigree.(I Queen morirono il 24 novembre 1991. Più tardi vennero i Queen + , una band formata da chitarrista Brian May e batterista Roger Taylor più un ospite vocalist. Questo non è così male, Queen aiuta a conservare la memoria dall’originale band Queen, e presenta la loro musica a una nuova generazione. Io preferisco Adam a Paul Rodgers. Niente batte Freddie. Direi Queen + è una cover band con un pedigree.

Dear Rossella,

I’m writting you to let you know some more details about that unforgerable night. The band arrived in Sao Paulo on March 19th 1981. A Group of fans and I met Freddie at a local radio station, he was giving an interview. We were not albe to talk to him on this occasion. That nigth, I met Roger at Hilton Hotel in Sao paulo and was able to give him some T-Shirts the Brazilian Fan Club had mad especially for the concert in Sao Paulo. On this occasion, Roger gave me an autograph. On the day of the concert me and a group of fans left home early for the concert. We took a bus to get the stadium. This day was really awesome. I’ll never forget it. We werw standing really close to the stage and could see the band very well. The concert was fantastic. Freddie was really good that nigth. His Charisma enchanted the Brazilian Audience. The higheglit of the nigth was whem 130.000 people sang along with the band ” love of my life”. After this occasion, I was alble to see Queen Live 3 more times in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (1985)

ti sto scrivendo questa lettera per farti conoscere qualche dettaglio in più intorno a quella indimenticabile notte. La band arrivo’ a San Paolo il 19 marzo 1981. Un gruppo di fans ed io incontrammo Freddie ad una stazione radio locale, lui stava dando un intervista. In quest’occasione noi non potevamo parlargli. Quella notte, io incontrai Roger all’Hilton hotel a San Paolo e potetti dargli delle magliette del Fan club brasiliano fatte soprattutto per il concerto a San Paolo. In questa occasione , Roger mi diede un autografo. Il giorno del concerto io e un gruppo di fans lasciammo presto casa per il concerto. Prendemmo un autobus per andare allo stadio. Quel giorno fu incredibile. Non lo dimenticherò mai. Noi eravamo davvero vicini al palco e potemmo vedere la band molto bene. Il concerto fu fantastico. Freddie fu molto bravo quella notte. Il suo carisma incanto’ il pubblico brasiliano. Il momento più bello della notte fu quando 130,000 persone cantarono insieme alla band “Love my life”. Dopo questo occasione, ho potuto vedere altre tre volte i Queen a San Paolo è e a Rio de Janeiro(1985).
